BERKLEY DADS’ CLUB FALL BASEBALL INFORMATION
The Berkley Dads’ Club fall league is open to players ages 8-15. Players from neighboring communities are welcome to play. The Divisions are as follows:
Major League – 8, 9 and 10 year olds
Junior League – 11, 12 year olds
Senior League – 13, 14 and 15 year olds
Players under the age of 8 and over the age of 15 are not eligible
Leagues are based on the players age as of April 30th, 2008
To register please fill out the registration and player evaluation forms and send to the address in the upper left hand corner of the registration form. The player evaluation form is used to help the coaches when drafting the teams to keep the teams as balanced as possible. Requests to be on teams with other players or coaches are considered but NOT guaranteed, as we attempt to preserve parity between teams first.
The cost to play in the fall league is $45.00 for Berkley School District residents and $55.00 for nonresidents. Please pay by check or money order as cash will not be accepted.
Registrations will be open until July 30th unless a league becomes full. If a league becomes full it will be posted on the web site. Anyone interested in participating but misses the deadline or registers after a league is full will be put on a wait list.
Once all registrations are entered, an e-mail confirming your registration will be sent, provided an e-mail address was provided. If you have not received confirmation by July 26th please contact the fall league director at falldirector@berkleydadsclub.org.
The teams will be drafted during the week of August 4th. All coaches should notify their players no later than August 15th and practices will be held during the weeks of August 18th and August 25th. We will try and provide each team with permits for two practices per week, one weekday and one weekend time slot. Coaches may schedule practices at their convenience should they find other fields outside the city.
Games will start Tuesday, September 2nd.
Each team will be scheduled 10 games and will play twice a week.
All Major and Junior League games will be scheduled Monday through Friday at 6:00 PM,
Field availability does not allow make-up games.
Senior League games are most likely going to be scheduled Monday through Wednesday at 6:00 PM and 8:20 PM.
All Major League games will be played at Merchants Field #2 and Community Field #3.
All Junior League games will be played at Community Field #2 and Lazenby Field.
All Senior League games will be played at Community Field #1.
